Lovely summer sunshine welcomed the North Down contingent of runners to the annual races around Portaferry as part of the town’s festival week.
The relay team of Alan Massey and Eamonn O’Reilly were prize winners when they finished 2nd in the mens category collectively timed at 64:46 for their 2 x 5 miles. Our first individual athlete home was Chris Downey in 66:41 and Valerie McDonough was first female across the line finishing in 73:53.
