Age Group Championships, Sunday

[Not a valid template]Sunday saw the second day of the Age Group Championships for athletes born 1987 to 1991 and much nastier weather with quite heavy rain through much of the day. Hannah Lewis had a double in the 1990 girls with an electric pb of 25.85 for 200m and a long jump of 5.37m. Kim Shaw won the 1989 400m in 61.67 and Katie Hewitt had a clear win at 1990 300m hurdles in 47.85 and was 3rd at 80m hurdles. The day really belonged though to the 1991 girl sprinters who carved the medals between them. Kathryn Colwell won the 300m in 42.02 and was 2nd at 200m in 26.73, Kiki Malomo Paris won the 100m in 13.33 and was 3rd at 200m in 27.04 while Tasha Paxton won the 200m in 26.42 and was 3rd at 100m in 13.77. A picture of the 200m final didn”t work out but their 1-2-3 in the last event of the day was a good end to the meeting

.

Other medals went to Lauren Scott, 2nd in 1990 800m in 2:27.74, Mark Patterson with a fast finish to snatch 2nd in the 1991 800m in a pb of 2:08.5,  John Carlisle with 3rd at 1989 800m, Robin Brown with 3rd at 1989 3000m, Ben McDonnell who was 2nd at 1989 javelin and Ryan Kerr with 3rd at 1990 100m.
