David and Lisa McMeechan took some time out of their holiday in the Mediterranean sunshine to run the Guardamar 10k on Sunday 14th April. The event, which also included a half marathon, gave runners some shade as they left the beach in the small town @25km south of Alicante, to run through the pine forests close to the beach in Guardamar, and a steep hill at the end of the course tested all the runners and encouraged them to appreciate the post-race refreshments even more! David finished in 52:16 and Lisa in 55:28.
