Newcastle AC’s annual Mill Hill Mile Race took place between Annsborough and Castlewellan on Tuesday 5th September. In case you’re wondering, Mill Hill is the long hill where you drop a couple of gears in the car as you’re driving towards Castlewellan or heading into the Mournes. Local man Zak Hanna won in 5:14 while Chris Downey was North Down AC’s sole representative at the uphill challenge, clocking a superb time of 6:58 in 27th place.
