The final race of Born 2 Run’s Run Forest Run trail race series took place in the grounds of Castlewellan Forest Park on Saturday 17th February. Starting near the castle the 5k and 10k courses circumnavigated the lake and took in some of the hills and trails behind the castle ensuring that the 6th race of the set was just as tough as the rest!
Isla Wiltshire was 17th overall and 1st junior female in the 5k in 21:17 while Roberta Dornan dropped down from the 10k to finish 19th and 1st F45 in 21:51.
In the 10k Ben O’Driscoll was 1st of the North Down AC quintet to finish in 49:58. Mick Hall was next in 57:41 followed by Sandra Hall in 1:00:17. Glenn Frazer completed 2 laps of the park in 1:05:04 and Pat O’Driscoll was the 1st M75 in 1:10:45.
