3 North Down AC members headed down the Ards Peninsula on Saturday 24th February to Burr Point in Ballyhalbert, the most easterly mainland point on the island of Ireland, for the Leap Year Loop. The 5k race saw runners start and finish at the harbour in Ballyhalbert and head inland on a 5k route around the country roads. Thomas Steele was 2nd in 18:03, Maol Larkin was 3rd, just 6 seconds behind in 18:09, and Sarah Gibson was 2nd woman in 21:30.
