British Masters Cross Country

The Stormont grounds in Belfast played host to the British Masters Cross Country on a beautiful spring Saturday afternoon with athletes gathered from all parts of the UK, North Down AC being represented in the 6k ladies and veterans race. Set over a similar course to the recent NI athletics event, the club gathered a plethora of medals both on an individual basis and as a team. Clair Quigley was first member across the line in 9th place overall, followed by Claire Scott (15th) and Helen Byers (16th), the ladies completing the three required for 1st team in the 35-44 category. North Down dominated the (W40) podium with Helen (1st) joined by Zara Fulton (19th overall) and Pamela Phillips (20th overall). June McMinn crossed the line in 22nd (1st W60), Terry Eakin 35th (3rd M65) and Davie Seaton 42nd (5th M70).
