North Down AC was well represented at the NI Masters Track and Field Championships at the Mary Peters Track on Saturday 19th August. Gerard Adair narrowly missed the podium taking 4th place in both the M45 100m and M45 200m sprinting 14.36 and 27.80 respectively. Clair Quigley demonstrated that she is just as quick on the track as she is in the mountains and the roads taking 1st W40 in the 3000m in 11:42.10. Sarah Gibson was 2nd W50 in the 1500m running 5:47.36. Chris Moran took the M45 silver medal in the 1500m with an excellent 4:25.45 while North Down AC’s star of the meet was Jack Russell who took gold in both the M40 400m with a PB of 56.70 and the M40 800,m in 2:04.91.
