Some runners aren’t content with 1 challenging race in a weekend, so it was no surprise to see 3 of North Down AC’s runners last seen in east Belfast on Friday night return to a start line in west Belfast on Sunday 13th August. The annual Féile an Phobail includes an undulating 5k and 10k race amongst its other community events, and Sarah Gibson, Paula Simpson and Pat O’Driscoll started the 10k race at Malone College and raced past Casement Park before tackling the hills of Falls Park before turning round on the Fall Road and returning to the college. Sarah Gibson was first of the trio to finish in 41:40 with Paula Simpson finishing in 48:19 and Pat O’Driscoll rounding off a fine weekend of running in 1:08:10.
