The flat and fast one lap course starts and finishes in Partington, 10 miles south west of Manchester, and regularly attracts club runners and elite athletes from across Europe. There was additional North Down interest this year as Holywood’s Paul Pollock, Irish marathon Olympian and busy A&E doctor who now runs for Kent AC finished in 2nd place in 29:07, narrowly losing a sprint finish by 4 seconds to Richard Allen of Leeds.
