Amy Foster guested in Grangemouth on Tuesday at the Bank of Scotland Celtic Cup, shown live on Sky Sports. Amy won her heat and was 5th in the 200m on 24.30m (+3.0). Though she appeared to tie up towards the end, she was ahead of the official Irish entrant. Scotland successfully defended the Bank of Scotland Cup with 37 points. Ireland was second with 30 followed by Wales on 17 points. James McIlroy easily won the 1000m in 2.21.96 ahead of Welsh athlete Chris Gowell. Kevin McCloy ran it in 2.35.21. Kelly Reid (City of Lisburn) ran in the 1000m finishing in 3rd place in a time of 2.44.41. Elaine McCaffery (Abbey) featured in the Medley Relay who finished in second place in a time of 3.53.47. The only NI male representative was Brian Mullen of Strabane competing in the javelin where he threw 56.18m
