Four club runners made the trip on Thursday evening to the Armagh International 5K and were rewarded with good runs James Budde was 41st in 15:40.8 min, Francis Marsh 43rd in 15:43.9 min, Simon Seaton 56th in 16:24.0 min and Nick Arkenspaar 74th in 17:09.2. The race was won in a record time of 17:07.8 min by American Christian Hesch who unleashed a furious finishing sprint to take the race from Poles Tomasz Szymkowiak and Mariusz Gizynski who ran 14:09.4 and 14:11.9 min. Kate Read of Bristol repeated her win of a year ago in the Womens 3K in 9:16.7 min.
Sky Sports recorded the race and it will be shown at 6:00 pm on 13th Feb with three repeat showings.
