Fifteen athletes endured the heat at the VPCAC 5 mile road race around the lower Connswater and Victoria park area.
Fiona McQuillan was 3rd Female, 1st F40, 32nd overall and if there is a team prize, surely the ND ladies will be right up there. At the sharp end of the overall results Chris Moran again showed his recent fitness with a magnificent 10th place finish with 28:11 time. Tadgh Charleton wasn’t far behind in 13th in a time of 28:28.
Consistent Clair Quigley was 5th lady in 33:41, closely followed by the resurgent Roberta Dornan, 7th timed at 33:53. Sarah Gibson followed in 10th spot and claimed first F50.
The next ND runner to finish was Alastair Hamilton in 69th place overall recording 35:48 while Matt Ormesher ran 37:15 when finishing in 83rd. Cara Jeffrey and Helen Byers finished closely in 38:17 and 38:27 as Claire Scott finished in 40:38 and Paula Simpson recorded 41:59.
Hannah Dunne completed in 47:52, Helen Beattie 50:48 and Pat O’Driscoll 52:04.
