The ANI cross country league continued on Saturday with the first of two weeks’ races north of Lough Neagh. The Cookstown race, now in memory of the late Irwin Speirs, included three North Down runners.
Caitlyn Dickenson made use of her committed training as she finished in 4thposition in the girls U12 race.
In the ladies senior race Sarah Gibson returned in 37th spot while Paula Simpson claimed the WO55 award as she finished in 59th place.
Well done to our athletes braving the icy conditions at Cookstown. Next week is the North West XC at Gransha where we hope to have a healthy turnout to sustain our challenge in the cross country leagues.
