Eva Massey was 2nd in the Gold section of the womens shot at Throwsfest, part of the UK Challenge series. Eva putted 15.55m to take 2nd behind Joanne Duncan who had 16.05m. Jeremy Harper with 43.36m was 8th in the Silver section of the mens discus. With over 300 throwers converging on the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham this was the highest participation at a throws only meeting in the UK.
