The Kennedy Kane McArthur Half Marathon took place on Saturday in the County Antrim village of Dervock, commemorating McArthur’s 1912 Olympic Marathon win. Julie Balmer made light of the scorching heat and won the ladies race by more than 10 minutes in 86:54 min, further extending her lead in the Pure Running Half Marathon Series.
