[Not a valid template]On Sunday, the second major event of the weekend took place within the grounds of Stormont Estate, Belfast; the Runher 5k and 10k races, now in their seventh year, attracted thousands of athletes and spectators to Parliament Buildings. North Down girls Rachel Gibson and Jessica Craig were 2nd and 3rd in the 5K event with Kelly Neeley winning while in the 10K Julie Balmer was 3rd to visitor Hannah Oldroyd and Cathy McCourt. Catherine Roberts and Nikki Heywood both had top ten finishes.
The Stormont course chosen for RunHer is a brutal one with very steep gradients and races usually go according to form. Double Commonwealth Games Kelly Neeley ran 19:17 to win with Rachel 2nd in stages19:27 and Jessica 3rd in 20:03. Julie was 3rd in the 10K in 40:10. Catherine was 7th in 45:55 and Nikki 9th in 48:15
