Success for the ladies at the Comber Cup

The ladies section of the club cemented their position at the top of the Cross Country league with superb performances at the Billy Neil centre near Comber. Jessica Craig won the ladies race with over 20 seconds to spare over club mate Rachel Gibson who finished 2nd for the 2nd week running after Kilbroney. Jodie Smith made it 3 in the top 4 with what is now considered her customary strong running.

Results are not available for the junior races but we had a great showing with a couple of wins into the bargain. Murphy Miller won the girls U15 race which follows from her excellent 2nd place last week at the even age groups, and will hopefully give her confidence ahead of next weeks’ uneven age groups. Jessica Scott made it a double with a win in the U18 race, good reward for her recent training efforts.
