On Sunday 4 North Down athletes endured the heat to complete the 26.2 mile through the Maiden City. To make the experience more bearable there were ice pops, water stations, water sprayers, energy drinks and to top it all off music around the route.
Fiona McQuillan finished in 3:20:44 which placed her in 68th and 5th lady home.
Donald Smith took advantage of the ice pops to get him round in 4:09:45 followed shortly afterwards by Paul Galloway 4:22:46, who nursed a calf injury for the last 8 miles and Cara Hamilton crossing the line in 4:46:10.
