Rachel McCann represented Ireland at this year’s event which was held at Santry stadium, Dublin on Saturday. Running in the 300m and in the 4 x 300M relay, Rachel recorded 41:32 for 7th place and then was part of the 3rd placed relay team.
Rachel then made the journey to Tullamore for Sunday’s Juvenile Track and Field Irish Age Groups where she ran 26:13 in her 200M heat, finishing 4th and qualifying for the final. (Girls U17 200M final result not available). Highlight of the meet was Murphy Millar’s win in the U16 Girls 1500M. Continuing her great form and modernised racing strategy, Murphy won the race with a pb 4:46:72.
Competing in the Girls U15 1500M Megan Briggs finished 8th when she ran 5:04:01. Katie Kimber ran in the U15 200M where she picked up a bronze medal, two hundredths of a second behind 2nd, and also in the javelin threw 20:40 for 10th. Amy Kimber also threw the javelin, U17 girls, recording 25:76 for 8th place.
