After a heavy recent racing programme, most members opted for the parkruns or to top up the training at the weekend, leaving Norman Lellyett as the club representative at the Dromore cross country meeting. After recent rainfalls, the venue was exceptionally muddy even for Dromore and safety decreed that racing should be on the bottom flat lap below the big hill. That of course hadn’t stopped the water draining down the hill. Norman ran in the masters 5000m race over 5 increasingly soft laps finishing 14th in 26:34 min. Stepping down an age group, that won him the M60 prize, the oldest category available.
