14 at ParkRun: Gothenburg Half: Varsity Match

North Down athletes  helped boost the ParkRun at Victoria Park to its largest field yet when 14 athletes competed in Saturday’s race. Alex Donald was 2nd overall to fellow triathlete Mark Carroll of Annadale Striders in 16:15 min with Michael Dyer 13:30, Francis Marsh 16:31 and James Budde 16:37 filling the next 3 places. Roberta Dornan 18:44 and Debbie Matchett 19:55 took first two female places  and Terry Eakin and Francis Marsh headed the age-adjusted table.. Zoe Illingworth had her best race to date before heading back to London.

Nicklas Arkensparr ran just outside his year’s pb in Larne to finish 180th in his home town Gothenburg half marathon in 80:54 min on Saturday running pretty much with even splits.

In the Oxford v Cambridge Varsity Match, Robin Brown was 2nd at 800m in 2:03.7 min and 1st at 1500m in 4:08 min running 62 secs for the final lap.
