It was a tough day at the office for the Northern Ireland athletes who made the trip to Loughborough for the 2017 School Games which took place on Friday 1st September. In total, seven NDAC juniors formed part of the NI team that competed against teams from Scotland, England North, Midlands & England South, however, medals were few and far between for the entire team which finished with two gold, two silver & one bronze.
One of the highlights of the day, however, were the performances of Eve Dann in the ambulant sprints which where mixed classification races in which medals are determined by converting times into points using the Kaza system. Eve capped off what has been an outstanding summer with gold in the 100m and silver in the 200m with times of 15.31s & 32.60s respectively.
