[Not a valid template][Not a valid template]On a very cold day in Ballyclare, North Down Senior Mens Team defended the Malcolm Cup cross country trophy but despite excellent packing, this year had to settle for 2nd to City of Derry AC. Francis Marsh, James Budde, Niall Robinson and Brian Barron were 8th, 12th, 14th and 16th and had good back-up from John Saulters and Thomas Simpson in 30th and 32nd. Junior results were also impressive with Matthew O’Boyle 5th U11, Glenn Willis and Sam McKibbin 3rd and 13th U15 and Conor O’Boyle 22nd U17. Mark Weir was top club vet in 15th, George Bell made his debut at M55 and others in the vets race were Gerry O’Boyle, David Seaton, Fred Murdock and Norman Lellyett. On the same day in Liverpool, Robin Brown finished 65th (U20) and Lauren Scott103rd (U20/17) in the UK Cross challenge meeting 2 and Euro XC trial.
