Three North Down athletes took part in the 46th running of the famous Dunboyne 4mile road race in Co Meath on Sunday. Conditions were very windy around a figure-of-8 course that passed through Dunboyne village 3 times. Mark Christie of Mullingar Harriers was first home in the field of 722(in 19:10), with Olympic marathon runner Mark Keannelly 2nd in 19:27. North Down’s Michael Dyer finished a creditable 8th in 20:52, with Francis Marsh 14th in 21:39 (1st M45 prize) and Rachel Gibson just missing a top 6 prize, placing 7th in the women’s section (72nd overall) in 24:29. http://www.precisiontiming.net/result.aspx?v=2514
