50 up at NDAC Christmas Dinner

[Not a valid template]There was a change of venue this year for the annual club Christmas Dinner which was held  on Monday evening at Helens Bay Golf Club where we made to feel very welcome and service was smooth and efficient. Also there was a change of organiser with David Seaton taking over the responsibility for which we owe him many thanks. David was pleased to announce that the number of guests had reached a round fifty and welcomed a true club legend, Billy Brannigan who had travelled over from Scotland along with his wife Linda.

More than £250 was raised in a ballot for charity towards  a project for African relief  and there should have been good odds with 24 prizes at stake. The majority were donated in another generous gesture by club member Michael Jenkins, the Director of the Pure Running Stores in Belfast and Newry

Attendees were reminded about the Hawtin Shield Trail Race scheduled to take place on Saturday week for a lap of Crawfordsburn Park. All members are reminded to bring a small gift in the £3 to £5 range and are requested to arrive before 10.30 a.m. in order that the handicap can be properly and fairly structured. Meanwhile there is a trap to Derry for vital XC League rond to be negotiated this Saturday.
