Good Turnout at Bangor Classic

[Not a valid template]Another Bangor Classic 10k, another good day and another record entry for the modern version of the event with 830 entrants and over 700 finishers. Joe McAllister notched up another win in 30:07 min from Dave Morwood in 31:24 and Brian Campbell in 31:28. The womens race saw a good win by Gladys Ganiel-O”Neill in 36:18 from favourite Pauline Curley in 36:37 and Sharon Bird in 37:10. Tight team races saw North Down win the mens” event with 25 points from St Malachys on 27 and Willowfield on 29 while in the womens” race on 246 from North Belfast on 284 and Lagan Valley on 297. As far as the host club was concerned the race climaxed a good series of road race results with two team wins (Francis Marsh, Simon Seaton and Niall Robinson; Julie Balmer, Ali Robinson and Stephanie Hambling),  6th and 7th place finishes for Francis and Simon plus a 4th for Julie and a club record, 2nd M35 for Mark Weir, 2nd F40 for Stephanie and an F50 win for Roma McConville plus a host of finishers.
