Mens Team complete Autumn Double

[Not a valid template]North Down”s Senior Mens team compeleted the Autumn Double in Ballyclare on Saturday when they added the Malcolm Cup to the McConnell Shield, won at the same venue last month. The Malcolm Cup was also won two years ago and this time the scoring four were Niall Robinson 5th, Simon Seaton 6th, Francis Marsh 7th and Jordan Stokes 14th. Ample back-up came from Mark Patterson (after several months out with ankle injuries} 27th, Thomas Simpson 29th, John Saulters 32nd and Simon Robinson 39th. Niall also collected second prize in the U20 race.

In the vets race Terry Eakin,  Fred Murdock and Ken Hawtin were category winners at M60, M65 and M70 and other runners were Douglas Grant, Tony Wall, George Bell, David Seaton and Pat O”Driscoll. Julie Balmer and Jessica Craig were 3rd and 5th in the Open Women category and Debbie Matchett, Nicola Simpson and Ange Perott also completed the womens race. Glen Willis was 2nd in the U15 race with Roger Dawson and Sam McKibbin 9th and 10th and Conor O”Boylewas 12th in the U17 event.
