Seeley Cup – 10K Championship

The Seeley Cup 10K in Ormeau Park included the Northern Ireland 10K Championships and attracted a large high class field. North Down fielded a huge team of 35 runners, a club record number of finishers for a single race. The womens scoring team of Julie Balmer, Stephanie Hambling and Debbie Matchett posted a podium finish with 3rd in the womens team race with the mens team of Michael Dyer, Francis Marsh, Niall Robinson, Simon Seaton, Nick Arkensparr and Jordan Stokes were 6th. Julie and Michael both posted club records for 10K and other pbs included Francis (post 2004), Niall, Jordan, M60 winner Terry Eakin (for North Down), Thomas Simpson, Douglas Grant, Stephanie, Ange Perrott, Jodi Smith and others.

In the categories, Terry and David Seaton were 1st and 2nd M60, Niall, Jordan and Thomas were 1st , th and 6th Juniors, Francis 4th M40, Tony Wall 3rd M50, Stephanie and Debbie 2nd and 4th F40.
