The weather was good if cold after the recent rain and there was a good turnout with good support from visitoring clubs. St Peters AC from Dromiskin in County Louth broughtt athletes a year ago, and made a return visit with an enlarged squad which collected three of the "Athlete of the Match" category awards. Not the U15 girls’ one, that went to Elleana Hull who in addition to winning the 100m had results in javelin and high jump. In fact javelin and high jump were very strong with Emily Rogers of St Peters taking the U17 event with 1.70m, probably the biggest jump in the province in any meeting this season. At javelin Matthew Stockton and Niall McGrattan had big pbs of 46.52 and 40.24m and there was 50m plus activity from Matthew Martin competing alongside seniors Tom Reynolds and Peter Glass.
