There are quite a few athletes who are still track fit and North Down athletes were among the good crowd at the final Edwards & Co Meeting on Thursday evening, rain notwithstanding.The senior 800m started slow but Jordan Stokes picked up the pace to pip Patrick Linden to win in 2:01.46 min. Jemes Budde paced Glen Willis to a pb of 2:02.01, Francis Marsh ran 2:04 ish and another pb went to Matthew McMullan in 2:14.81. Kenny Elliott won the senior 200m in 22.92 sec with Mark Armstrong and James Hammond 1st and 6th in the 93/94 race. At javelin Niall McGrattan threw 34.07m, as well as 9.65m at shot, and later guested in the U17 javelin with 30.20m. Matthew Martin won the 93/94/senior javelin as did Sophie Cree the U13 girls event. Beth Wilson shot putted 9.16m and guested in discus and javelin while Stephen Loughlin also did javelin.
