[Not a valid template]The weather was a long way from inviting as the Seeley Cup 10K, incorporating the Northern Ireland 10K Championships, went ahead at an icy Ormeau Park. There was still a large entry including thirty odd finishers from North Down. Dubliner Richard Corcoran took the race with Niall Robinson taking 3rd in 32:01 min after a race long tussle with Jarlath Fall of Ballymena. Another Championship medal, this time silver, went to the womens team of Roberta Dornan, Julie Balmer and Debbie Matchett who were 4th, 6th and 9th in the womens race with North Belfast taking team gold. Statistically Stephanie Hambling, Jessica Craig and Ali Robinson were the third best team but, as a B team, could not claim a medal. Roberta took the F35 prize, Debbie and Stephanie were 1,2 at F40, Terry Eakin was 1st M60 and David Seaton 1st M65.
The mens team of 6 to score were 5th team with Annadale 1st team. North Down scorers were Niall, Francis Marsh, Alex Donald, Simon Seaton, Nicklas Arkensparr and Darren McKee. Obviously the icy temperature and untrustworthy slippy surface were going to create problems and various runners sufferedv accordingly but there were still some cracking runs. Pb’s over 10K included Roberta Dornan, Debbie Matchett ,Ange Perrott, Ali Robinson, Jill Aicken, Niall Robinson (club best), Alex Donald, Darren McKee, Michael Jenkins and David Balmer with near misses from Stephanie Hambling and Nick Arkensparr,
