Stephen Purdie has just received from Egypt the official result of the Luxor Marathon and has done better than he expected in very warm conditions with no breeze and no bullets. He ran the 4 lap course in a PB of 3:14:01 hr and overall 5th place out of 78 finishers and was 1st M 50. It was an interesting course passing by many historic sites. As the marathon started at 7am the sun had just started to come up, and by the end of the race for Stephan, it was getting quite hot,but some runners were still out over 6hrs.
