The Northern Ireland and Ulster Indoor Championships were held at the weekend at the Odyssey filling the morning and Saturday afternoon slots. There were more pbs and more medals with Beth Wilson taking the U17 shot title 10.60m – unfortunately under AAI rules with a 3.25Kg implement. Glen Willis ran well in a tough U17 800m collecting an Ulster bronze medal and a club U17 record with 2:03.60 min. Alex Catherwood took silver in the U16 high jump with 1.50m while in the U15 high jump Elleana Hamilford- Hull and Rebekah Rutherford were 4th and 5th with pbs if 1.40m and 1.35m, Elleana also doing 4.02m at long jump. At U16 shot Pierce Clarke and Niall McGrattan were 5th and 6th with 9.31m and 8.92m. Ellen Robinson made U15 finals at both 60m and 60m hurdles, Katherine Kirk ran the U15 800m while Niamh Cummings had a busy time at U14 with a portfolio of 60m, 800m and shot.
