Jimmy Murray 10K :Julie leads NDAC Contingent Home

In the first major 10K road race of the year, the Jimmy Murray Memorial race in Downpatrick on Sunday, Julie Balmer led home the 14 strong club contingent in 39:09 minutes. Julie was 57th overall and 3rd female behind Kerry Harty and Julie Turley. In the mens race, won by Stephen Scullion from Joe McAllister, Stephen Purdie was best of the North Down runners in 39:48 min. Notable in the category results were David Seaton 1st M65 and Sarah Benton 2nd F40.  Meanwhile on Saturday at the Waterworks ParkRun, Debbie Matchett was once more 1st female in a time 2 secs outside her 5K pb.
