[Not a valid template]The RunHer specialists came out on Sundays as the latest staging of Northern Ireland’s premier women-only event took place at a blustery Stormont. Jessica Craig retained her 5K title, making light of the conditions and the course with a gun to tape victory in 20:00 min. Ali Robinson, looking good for Edinburgh in a weeks time had a good race to finish 2nd in 20:14, holding off Rachel Gibson in 3rd. In the 10K event Julie Balmer had another podium finish, finishing 2nd in 39:50 min behind winner Cathy McCourt. Other North Down runners taking part were 12 and 14 year old youngsters Zara Mullholland and Niamh Cummings, 23:19 and 25:54 in the 5K, and Valerie McDonough, 6th in 46:18, and Tara Cummings (51:04) in the 10K. And a big mention to new recruit Francesca Brown in her first race since transferring to North Down with an excellent 5th in the 5K in 21:19.
