Windy at Loughborough but athletes in fine form.

Strong blustery winds varied massively at Loughborough for the International Meeting on Sunday but Ben Reynolds and Amy Foster were unlucky to have pbs when the wind was not far over the limit. Ben won the 110m A  invitational race in 13.81 sec, way inside the Northern Ireland record but for a +2.2 wind. Amy beat her pb in the 100m B Invitational race, winning in 11.58 with the same  +2.2 wind and with a slightly stronger + 2.7 won the eqivalent 200m in 23.63 sec, 0.01 sec outside the NI record. Katie Hewitt was also there, representing hockey in the Loughborough Students Inter Clubs Challenging, finishing 3rd in 13.9 at 100m. Northern Irish performances included Kerry Harty winning the 3000m steeplechase in 10:24.14, well inside the NI record, and Katie Kirk, 2nd in 400m B Invitational in 55.96.
