Matthew Stockton became the Irish Schools Champion on Saturday when he won the intermediate javelin by over a metre with 49.80m. There were were two silver medals in the senior discus events with Kathy Hetherington throwind 36.04m in the girls event and Gareth Irvine 45.89m in the boys one. Still with discus, Beth Wilson was 3rd in the intermediate girls event with 34.12m. In the senior boys 400m, Adam McComb was 4th in 51.37 sec and in the senior 200m Mark Armstrong and James Hamilton were 4th in 23.05 and 5th in 23.41 sec. Kathy was also 5th at senior shot, Kerry Craig 5th at senior HJ, Glen Willis 6th at intermediate 1500m and Sophie Cree 8th at junior javelin.
