Mark Weir was 2nd on Saturday at the Dervock 10K in 37:20 min on a hilly, very hilly and probably over distance course in hot and humid conditions. Terry Eakin had a massive result, in 4th position and clear M60 winner, in 39:13. In the associated half marathon Stephen Purdie was 34th in 1:37:09 hr and Pat O’Driscoll was 82nd in 2:17:53. On Sunday Paul Galloway ran 48:38 in a 10K in Crossmaglen. In the Downpatrick RGU 10K on Wedneday evening, Darren McKee was 14th in 36:51 min, Gerry Coy 22nd in 39:10, Fred Murdock 63rd in 44:39, Terry Eakin 64th in 44:40, Pat O’Driscoll 114th in 52:53.
