Shaking off the ligament injury that had caused him to miss the AAA Championships a week ago, Ben Reynolds was in a class of his own at Santry in the Irish Senior Championships, winning a fast 110m hurdles in 14.05 sec. His brother Luke Reynolds was 6th in the same race in 15.28 sec. Making his first appearance under the North Down banner since joining from the defunct Abbey club, top triple jumper Alan Kennedy took the TJ bronze medal with 14.16m. Matthew Martin threw 52.31 m for 5th in the javelin and Lauren Scott ran 4:36.72 in the 1500m for 8th. On the first day Hannah Lewis was 5th in the 200m final in 24.89 sec, equalling her seasons best when she won the NI title at Antrim.
