The athletics part of the UK School Games took place in Sheffield over the weekend withthree club athlete in the Northern Irish team. Matthew Stockton was 6th in the javelin with 49.23m, Beth Willis 7th in the discus with 30.94m and Clare Robinson 8th at 80m hurdles in 12.59 sec. Andrew Mellon ran the first leg of the 4 x 400m relay, handing the baton over in 3rd. In the end the relay team was 7th. Northern Irish results were highlighted by a win at hammer by Robert Moffett of Ballymena.
