Saturday had been planned as a club turnout at Victoria Park and a respectable number turned out despite the rough weather. North Down dominated the event claiming the first three men with Mike Dyer, James Budde and Francis Marsh plus Glen Willis 7th and Darren McKee 8th while in the womens event we had the first four with Lauren Scott, Ange Perrott, Stephanie Hambling and Lynne Kerr. Times held up very well depite rain and strong winds with most runners bettering or close to their best times. Lauren’s time of 18:31 takes the womens’ Victoria Pak record from clubmate Roberta Dornan. Meanwhile across town Terry Eakin and Pat O’Driscoll showed the flag at the Waterworks with Terry reaching his 50th ParkRun.
