[Not a valid template]The new Queens ParkRun from the Dub Pavilion opened on Saturday with Terry Eakin and Steve and Alison Wise representing us. Time will tell but it probably will be not as fast as the other two courses due to being on gravel paths and with more up and downs. Unfazed by another coming race at Stormont before lunch, Terry breezed round in 18:59 min, finishing 2nd overall and top vet. Steve went round in 20:49 min and Alison in 26:19. Across town at Victoria Park, the first three ladies places went to North Down girls, all with a recent course win. Youngsters Abbey Taylor and Claire Francis in 1st and 2nd had pbs of 21:33 and 22:48 min respectively. Lynne Kerr in 3rd was top vet with 22:48. Pat O’Driscoll had his Saturday fix in 27:22 min.
