[Not a valid template]Gary McClernon won for the 4th time in 5 years in 15.43 just outside his course record probably due to heavy going on the grass sections. Brian Campbell was 2nd in 16.22 with Donal Gallagher 3rd in 16.31, Paul Pollock 4th in 16.37 and Simon Taylor 5th in 17.02. Mary Margaret Meade shattered the women’s course record in 17.57 with Kerry Harty 18.54 and defending Claire Quinn 19.06. Richard Rodgers was 1st vet and Owen Carleton 1st U18.

For the home team George Bell ran 18.52, Robin Brown was the U16 winner in 19.18 with Thomas Simpson running well in 22.00, Kerry Iveston won the U18 girls in 22.38, Norman Lellyett won the O55’s in 20.39 and Roma McConville won the women O40’s in 23.16. Pat O’Driscoll, Club Chairman and also representing the sponsor, ran 24.26.

Councillor John Montgomery, the Deputy Mayor of North Down started the race and presented the prizes along with NIAF President David McKibben.
