The road racing season is now in full flow and Saturday saw the first half marathon of the year and the opening event of the ChampionChip half marathon series. All 18 club runners did well in the Larne event where spring sunshine was welcome. Julie Balmer was second lady in 84:14 min, with an English visitor was first. Francis Marsh was 4th in 73:26 and first vet while Dennis Scott was 22nd in 78:46. Another category win went to Terry Eakin who was 1st M60 in 87:38 min.
At the Fleet half marathon on Sunday, Stephen Wylie came 174th in 87:01 and Michael Aumonier 335th in 94:22.
