Northern Ireland teams had their best ever results in the British and Irish Veterans Cross Country International at Croydon. The three North Down runners were all team medallists with a club representative on each of the three successful teams. George Bell was on the 2nd placed Over 50 team, David Seaton on the 3rd placed Over 55 team and Ken Hawtin on the 3rd place Over 65 team. There were two Northern Irish individual medallists with Terry Eakin 3rd Over 55 and Karen Marshall who won the Over 50 womens’ event.
