[Not a valid template]Alex Catherwood (Ashfield) twice broke her pb and set a new club high jump record of 1.66m at the Ulster Schools Championships at Antrim on Saturday. Despite the Intermediate Girls high jumpers getting the cruel 10.00 am starting slot on a windy and very cold unseasonable day, there was some very good jumping with 3 girls clearing 1.60m. Alex won and broke her pb, set at the District Schools a fortnight ago with a jump of 163m and followed up with a first time clearance at 1.66m. This broke Sarah McGuigan’s long-standing club record and she twice went agonisingly close at 1.69m. Sarah Connolly (Glenlola) was 3rd on 1.60m.
