Jimmy’s Ten, Downpatrick 12/03/23
North Down AC was well represented at the ever popular Jimmy’s 10k road race in Downpatrick on Sunday 12th March. Francis Marsh was the first of North Down’s athletes to cross the finish line of the newly revised route in 14th place overall. His finish time of 36:00 also saw him claim top spot in the M55 category. Close behind were Steven Donegan (17th) in 36:52 and Declan Magee (21st) in 37:16. David Massey claimed 39th place in 38:31 just ahead of the first NDAC female and 3rd lady, Fiona McQuillan (40th) in 38:37. Philip Mulligan proved that his 250th parkrun the previous day had no effect as he finished in 39:51. Clair Quigley, 40:42 was next home ahead of Les Wilkinson, 42:08 and 2nd M65. Sarah Gibson, 42:23, Steven Boyd, 44:32, Kevin Mulligan, 44:36, Paula Simpson 47:25 and Lynne Kerr, 53:12 all put in excellent performances while Pat O’Driscoll once again left dozens of runners in his wake as he claimed 2nd M75 spot in 1:02:56.
