The 2 towers in the NIMRA (Northern Ireland Mountain Running Association) race title refer to the towers on the Mourne Wall near the summits of Slieve Commedagh and Slieve Meelmore. David McKeague visited both towers during the race on Saturday 26th August. Starting at Happy Valley on the Trassey Road the mountain runners headed along the Ulster Way and the Trassey Track to the summits of Slievenaglogh and Commedagh before making their way past Hares’ Gap on their way to Slieve Meelmore and the fast descent back to Happy Valley. David McKeague finished 21st overall in 1:37:47.
