2 North Down AC runners were in action at separate relay championships in Scotland and England on Saturday 7th October; Mark Carberry was part of a Stirling University team that won the Scottish East district 4x4km senior XC relay championships for the first time ever in wet and soggy conditions at Livingston, clocking the 21st fastest leg overall (13:08, compared to the fastest of 12:24).

Further south at Sutton Park near Birmingham, Rachel Gibson helped Herne Hill Harriers place 15th place in the English Road Relay 4-stage Senior Women’s Champs, clocking 15:57 over the undulating 2.7mile circuit.
